From the record player to the main stage.

I was born and raised in Phoenix, and the first sound system I ever cared about was my mom's record player. Soul, classics, whatever was in the crate. I spent a lot of hours in front of that thing figuring out why one song hit and the next one didn't.
In 2013 I got my start on the radio at KKFR Power 98.3, sharing air with some of the best DJs in Arizona. From there it was Valley nightlife: club residencies, opening slots for touring artists, and a lot of nights learning to read a room in front of crowds that let you know immediately when you're wrong.
Now the work splits across everything. Some nights it's Chase Field for the Diamondbacks or Footprint Center for the Mercury. Other nights it's a hundred and forty people in a Scottsdale ballroom, and the most important song of the year is the one somebody's grandmother requested.
What I actually play
Open format, mixed live. Hip-hop, R&B, Motown, house, disco, country, rock, top 40, blended on the fly rather than queued up in advance.
The playlist you build with me isn't a script, it's a map. What happens on the night depends on who showed up and what they're doing at 9:40, and reading that is the part you're actually hiring me for.
